Hot dog warmers hold frankfurts and buns at serving temperature, so a kiosk or a canteen can serve them straight off the counter. We stock commercial hot dog warmers in every format: roller grills, steamers with a water bath, heated bun warmers, and combination units with a bun compartment built in. Delivered anywhere in Australia.

Buy the counter in one order and you have one order to track and one number to call if something goes wrong, instead of chasing several suppliers. Chip warmers, heat lamps and counter top hot food displays sit in the same part of the counter, and the whole range lives under benchtop appliances.

The format you pick changes how the product looks and how fast it moves. Steamed and rolled frankfurts are different products, so the choice is a menu decision rather than a price one. A commercial hot dog bun warmer is a separate heated compartment or drawer that keeps buns soft without drying them, and a commercial bun warmer on its own earns its place anywhere a cold or dry bun would spoil the sale.

If you are fitting one into a kiosk or a canteen servery with a fixed opening, request a callback and we will check the space before you commit.

These are the top FAQs for Commercial Hot Dog Warmers

Roller grill or steamer?

Roller grills brown and mark the frank, keep it visible and turn it continuously, which is why they suit convenience counters and kiosks where the product sells itself. Steamers hold a softer, plumper frank and are kinder to product that sits for a while.

If customers can see the unit, roller grills generally sell more. If the frank has to hold through a long, uneven trade, the steamer is more forgiving. Some operators run both and use the grill as the display.

Do I need a separate bun warmer?

If buns are going out cold or drying under a lamp, yes. A dedicated heated bun compartment keeps them soft at a lower, gentler heat than the frank needs, and it stops staff reaching across hot rollers to get at them.

Combination units with a bun box built in save counter space and a power point. If buns are only part of the picture, a sandwich press or a hot cabinet may already cover it in your kitchen.

How many frankfurts will a unit hold?

Roller count sets it on a grill and tray capacity sets it on a steamer, and both are listed per model on the product page. The more useful number is how many you sell in the busiest hour, because a unit loaded to capacity all day will hold product longer than it should.

Sizing slightly under your peak and reloading more often usually gives a better product than sizing over it. Hold times are a food safety matter for your own plan rather than a specification of the machine.

Can I cook anything else on it?

Roller grills take sausages, cheese kransky, taquitos and similar cylindrical product, provided the diameter suits the rollers. A steamer will hold anything that benefits from moist heat, including buns and wraps.

What neither handles well is anything saucy or loose, which belongs in a sauce warmer or a gastronorm insert. Keep condiments off the warmer itself so the surfaces stay clean.

How do I clean it?

Rollers wipe down cold and the drip tray comes out daily, because fat and sugar bake onto a roller grill very quickly and a baked-on roller never looks right again. Steamers need the water changed and the bath descaled on a schedule.

In hard water areas descaling is the job that gets skipped and the one that shortens the unit's life. Food-contact parts should be 304 stainless steel, which is the food-safety grade in Australia and washes clean without pitting. Have spare takeaway containers and tongs ready so the unit is not opened more than it needs to be.

Where should it sit on a kiosk counter?

Front and visible if it is a roller grill, because the product is the advertisement, but back from the customer edge far enough that nobody can reach the hot surface. Steamers can sit further back since there is nothing to see.

Allow for the power point, the clearance the product page asks for, and a landing space for buns and wrapping. For a wider servery with several hot lines, look at how the warmer sits alongside your hot food display so staff are not crossing over each other.

What power does it need?

Most counter units run from a standard outlet, but it varies by model, and a combination unit with a bun box draws more than a bare grill. The electrical details are on each product page.

The practical issue in a kiosk is how many heated appliances share one circuit. If you are adding a warmer to a counter that already runs a fryer and a press, request a callback before you order and we will go through what the counter is carrying.
