Commercial cooking robots run a set cooking cycle on their own — stirring, tossing and timing — so a cook is not held at one wok or pan for a whole service.

They suit high-volume kitchens cooking the same dishes over and over, ghost kitchens, and sites that are short on skilled kitchen staff. See commercial cooking equipment for conventional equipment.

These are the top FAQs for Commercial Cooking Robots

What can a cooking robot actually do?

It repeats a programmed cooking cycle consistently: heat, time, agitation and sometimes ingredient dosing. It does not replace a chef's judgement on new dishes.

Where do they make sense?

High-volume repeatable menus, where the same dish is cooked hundreds of times a week. Varied à la carte menus get less from them.

See commercial induction cooking.

What does it need installed?

Power and extraction, and often water. Check the specification early, as requirements vary widely by model.

Our installation partner can advise.

Does it reduce staff numbers?

It changes what staff do more than how many you need. The realistic saving is consistency and freeing a cook from one station.

What about cleaning?

Automated equipment still needs daily cleaning, and some models have cleaning cycles. Follow the manufacturer's schedule.

See cooking equipment cleaners.

Does it still need extraction?

Yes. Cooking produces heat, steam and grease regardless of who or what is operating the pan.

See commercial kitchen exhaust hoods.
